    Frequently Asked Questions

What types of industrial protective clothing does NexG Apparels manufacture?

NexG manufactures protective clothing across eight categories: electric arc flash clothing, fire fighting suits (TOG), aluminised proximity clothing, welding protection clothing, metal protection clothing, FR/IFR coveralls, winter workwear, and safety accessories such as gloves, hoods, helmets and boots.

How do I choose the right protective clothing for my workplace?

Start from the dominant hazard. Electrical arc exposure calls for arc-rated clothing selected by incident energy (cal/cm²). Radiant and flame exposure calls for fire fighting or aluminised suits. Molten metal splash needs metal protection clothing. General flash-fire risk is covered by FR/IFR coveralls. The hazard table above maps each risk to the right category.

Which standards is NexG protective clothing certified to?

NexG protective clothing is tested and certified to a range of Indian and internationally recognised safety standards, depending on the product and application. These include CE, BIS, UL, NFPA, EN/EN ISO, ASTM and ISO 9001:2015 certifications and compliance. Applicable product standards include EN 469, EN 1486, EN 61482, EN ISO 11612, EN ISO 11611, EN ISO 20471, ASTM F1506, ASTM F1959, NFPA 70E and NFPA 2112. NexG also supplies PPE designed to meet international requirements for global markets.

Certification and applicable standards vary by product, so the relevant certificate and certification details should be confirmed for the specific garment.
